Evaluation Question Six (6 Draft)

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Computer
During the entirety of the process for producing my media coursework I used the computer, whether this was during lessons, study periods or at home. Using the computer at school was an easier choice for me as it meant that all of my evidence and progress was saved on one computer, however written text and non-visual elements were able to be access and completed on my computer at home and sent via my email.

Outlook email
I used this site to send myself edited and progressive work that I had worked on at home to my computer that I used in class time- I could then upload it to my drive to be accessed on my profiles in any destination of the school.

Powerpoint
I used this element of software to produce my research Powerpoint and slide show.- I converted each of these slides into separate jpeg images and uploaded these onto my blog. Powerpoint was an easy element of software to use as I have been using it since I was in primary school.

Blogger
Throughout the process of creating this magazine I have been using the social networking site blogger. I have been using blogger since the beginning of September 2016 but during the proceeds of my media coursework I feel I have developed my knowledge of this site. Before, when I first started using blogger I was unaware of many of the features. Since beginning my media course work I have learnt how to use many features such as change my media blog layout and customise it something more aesthetically pleasing and easier to access. Along with this I have learnt how to edit text size, font, positioning. I have learnt how to embed a Scribd link, embed a YouTube clip and upload photos directly onto my blog.

Photoshop
I used this application as a form of designing and creating my draft products and my final product. When I first started to use this piece of software I honestly had no experience or knowledge of how to use it. I learnt different things like how to insert text and edit images to make them appear to higher standard. With a lot of practice I managed produce my preliminary piece and my final magazine piece.

Google Forms
Google forms is the site of which I designed my questionnaire. I tried to get as many people whom of which I knew like other genres of music. As well as this I decided to ask people who I also knew liked my genre and would possibly wish to buy the magazine I aimed to create.

Microsoft Word
From this element of software i think i achieved most of my progression. I did a major amount of contributing work on this platform of media production such as drafting up my work and planning the processes of my course work. This element of software was the most helpful device/ tool i used during the entirety of the duration and creation of my coursework.

Instagram
This social networking site was incredibly helpful when it came to my research as it allowed me to get a grips of the different types of artists i was hoping to imitate in my magazine/ coursework. I was able to connect with the artist through their private account and there for evaluate experiences and develop ideas.

Animoto
This device not only aided me to present my ideas/proposed and hoped for my final outcome it also allowed me to gain confidence in my ideas. I was able to see my own thoughts coming together when i created my clip for my magazine speech/ proposal. I found this element/ site incredibly helpful and easy to use and it gave me experience of working with unfamiliar sites.

PRACTICAL HARDWEAR

Nikon D3200 camera-  as someone who enjoys taking photos i really enjoyed my photo shoot as an experience as a whole, however i am not one to know about all of the technical specs (shutter speed, exposure..etc.) of cameras. My sister who does have the experience showed me how to use this piece of hardware appropriately in the condition i had planned. It was a fun and unforgettable experience as i have learnt new elements of knowledge which i ever thought i would learn or have the need to look further into.
