Language register

My magazine is going to follow a semi-formal language type/ scheme. I will use colloquial language to connect with the audience of my magazine. I will use quotes which will be abridged as they will act as translations, and therefore they will follow a formal and standard tone. The representation of my artist would have to be considered so that they don’t come across as too arrogant. The language will be unlike that which is found in urban rap magazines such as Vibe as the genre would not fit that certain language type. I will use small amounts of informal language as some of my article will mimic the spontaneity of spoken language. Certain types of jargons will be used such as ‘aegyo’. I want a sense of respect to be conveyed to my audience/ reader because I would like them to be attracted to read it again, considering my audience type is a niche and select group.
